The ray tracing algorithm is used to simulate the 2 Dimensional X-ray images. The software takes input of CAD files of the model of the objects and simulates the expected X-ray images at any arbitrary angle. This model currently assumes a perfect source of an arbitrary dimension. This is currently also hosted in http://sourceforge.net/projects/xraysim.
